This Privacy Policy explains how Triforge Solutions ("we", "us"), the Responsible Party for TukShopp, collects, uses, and protects your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPI Act").
Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in plain text).
Location: your device's GPS coordinates, only if you grant permission, used to sort vendors by distance — never stored on our servers beyond your active session.
Business information: if you open a Business Account, your shop details, product listings, and any photos you upload.
Order & review information: orders you place, delivery addresses you enter, and ratings/reviews you leave.
We use your information to operate the marketplace: creating and securing your account, showing you nearby vendors, letting vendors manage their shop, recording order history, and maintaining the ratings system. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your data is hosted by Supabase, our database and authentication provider, acting as an operator on our behalf. When you check out, your order details are sent via WhatsApp directly to the vendor — that message is subject to WhatsApp/Meta's own privacy practices, not this policy, once it leaves TukShopp.
We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your profile, shop, products, and order history.
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request its correction, request its deletion, and object to how it's processed. You can exercise most of these directly in Settings, or by contacting us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your information has been mishandled.
We rely on industry-standard security practices provided by our infrastructure (access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level database permissions that restrict who can read or write your data). No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We use a small amount of browser storage to keep you logged in between visits. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
TukShopp is not intended for children under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
